How might Fertility and Pre-conception Reflexology benefit you?

By working together we will devise a holistic Treatment Plan to help increase the likelihood of you conceiving. Helping clients identify sources of stress and working with them to find ways of dealing with these form part of the holistic approach. It may be that stress management and lifestyle suggestions are also considered. Your Reflexologist will give particular consideration and working of the Endocrine System Reflexes with the objective of balancing hormones including working acupressure and gulpha marma points in an effort to boost energy flow for optimum balance.

How does it work?

The aim is to increase the chances of becoming pregnant and giving birth to a healthy baby. Informing and encouraging clients to lead and maintain a balanced lifestyle by incorporating a combined mind-body approach which minimises stress and promotes harmony and self-healing.  Conditions which may affect male fertility include; pelvic congestion, general lifestyle, nutritional factors and overall health condition. The following effects are believed to result from applying varying pressures and techniques on specific foot reflexes:

  • stress reduction
  • preparing the body for conception
  • promotion of deep relaxation
  • stimulation of the body's own healing mechanisms
  • supporting the Immune System
  • hormonal balance
  • aid good nerve and blood supply to reproductive organs and
  • which are considered to aid the conception process.

Reflexology neither treats infertility nor conception difficulties; it treats people with these problems (Smith-AoR, 2013).
Pregnancy reflexology is offered as some clients have suffered side effects including:

  • morning sickness and nausea
  • back pain
  • digestive problems
  • fluid retention, oedema
  • pelvic girdle pain

Specialised techniques may help relieve some of your symptoms, helping to calm and soothe as your body adapts to being pregnant.
